Bathroom talk

Reece said he had to go potty so while Joe and I waited for him in the living room he went in the bathroom alone. We have been trying to encourage his independence in the bathroom but he still thinks he needs us to accompany him each time. On this particular day he DID go alone but of course Joe and I listened from the living room. Initial pause for the pants then the stream followed by the traditional SLAMMING of the toilet seat and lid. Then...back to the living room...uuhhhh
We asked him, "Reece did you wash your hands?"
pause...
Reece said "No"
We asked, "why",
another pause
Reece said "I washed them yesterday!" He is still so honest which we love but trying hard to figure out how to get away with things. Luckily we can still outsmart him MOST of the time.

Adam LOVES apples or "balls" as he calls them. He insists on eating them whole. He carries the apple around for a while always eating the entire thing. Often, we hear him drop the apple,it rolls across the floor, he chases after it and he picks it up and continues to enjoy it. Gotta love that 5 second rule or "roll" in this case.

Adam loves to do everything and be everywhere that his big brother Reece does/is this includes the bathroom. Adam is fast and curious.He especially loves fishing in the toilet which is something Reece rarely did so we were not prepared for Adam's fishing trips. We had a toilet lock when Reece was a baby but our guests always needed us to unlock it for them because it was confusing so we removed it. It was getting kind of walking our friends and family to the "potty". We may need to invest in another "potty" lock for our sweet little Adam!

SO tonight Joe and Reece were in the bathroom washing there hands and of course little Adam joined them uninvited. Within 30 seconds he had pulled the toddler potty seat onto the floor, pulled the boy "cup" off of the potty seat, unrolled all of the toilet paper and explored the bristles on the toilet brush UUUgghhh.

Our boys keep us seriously busy but we would not change it for the world!
