Pumpkin patch

Usually we go to Eckert's in Belleville for peaches, apples and then pumpkins each year. The boys love the tractor ride out to the orchards each and every time we go. But, this year we decided to go to a different pumpkin patch to change things up a bit(mostly for mom and dad ;)) It is a little lower key place although they do have lots of food stands, a petting zoo and carnival type rides for the kids too. We got there early with the plan to just visit the animals and the pumpkin patch which is indeed what we did. The rides were getting started just as we were leaving and Adam was a bit dissappointed that we did not stay longer but he handled it well, I was proud of him. So proud that I may try to squeeze in some time next weekend to take them back just to "ride the train" that Adam so desperately wanted to ride.
The boys loved pulling and riding in the giant wagon out to the patch. Sam even stood behind it and pushed with all of his might with Adam while Reece pulled! It was hilarious and heartwarming watching them have so much fun. At one point Sam lost his footing a bit but did not let go of the wagon and since Reece was unaware of Sam falling little Sam was dragging behind the wagon. Joe and I were right there to grab him but he was smiling and laughing the entire time he was being drug by the wagon. Adam was attempting to push, pull or tug the biggest pumpkin he could find and was very sad for the pumpkins that were "sick or dead" in the pumpkin patch. Reece was "the boss of the wagon" even pulling it in places where it did not quite fit because he did not want anyone to take our wagon. Funny thing about that is that we were the only ones out there since we had gotten there when they opened at 9AM.

After walking through the pumpkin patch we went to check out the animals. Sam LOVES animals!!! He spotted the camel first and as the picture shows he was looking through the fence at first but as soon as I took the picture he started climbing under the fence to get a closer look. Of course I stopped him! He watched each animal for a long period of thim often slipping his little hand through the fence to wave and say "hi." so sweet! Reece and Adam were keeping a watchful eye on Sam so the animals "would not bite his fingers off."

We had a great time!

Amazing how much fun and what great memories you can make in a couple of hours with your children! Life and time are so precious























!
